Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • Operate ultrasound machines to capture clear, high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist with accurate diagnoses and inform treatment plans.
  • Accurately document patient history, procedures, and diagnostic findings to ensure thorough record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams to discuss imaging results and contribute to care plans.
  • Maintain ultrasound machines, ensuring they are properly calibrated and report any technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing questions and concerns, and providing follow-up guidance when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
  • At least 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
  • Certified by ARRT or ARDMS.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board-MRT or ARDMS certification.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
