SUMMARY

We are seeking to enhance our team with a qualified Lead A/V Technician who possesses extensive experience in audiovisual systems. Our organization offers a robust benefits package, including fully paid health insurance and a retirement plan.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute on-site audiovisual equipment installations for clients, which encompass low voltage wiring, equipment rack assembly, and setup of plasma/LCD displays, projectors, media rooms, audio hardware, speakers, control systems, and programming as per expertise.
  • Conduct cable routing, assess structural and room interiors for optimal installation efficiency, and perform crimping and termination of audio and video cables.
  • Assist in the installation and programming of AV automation/control systems for classrooms and boardrooms.
  • Set up video conferencing systems and audio-video racks.
  • Interpret AV system schematics, drawings, and construction plans.
  • Install low voltage wiring and cabling, including soldering and connector termination.
  • Assemble and disassemble necessary supports and mounts.
  • Patch walls as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following qualifications are necessary for this position:

  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with relevant certifications (AVIXA, BICSI) being advantageous.
  • Proven experience in professional audio and video system integration.
  • Experience in the structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
  • Basic knowledge of AV and network testing equipment and network topology.
  • Proficiency in PC and networking.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and work in diverse conditions.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts as necessary.
  • Capability to read and interpret schematics and architectural drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Effective communication in English is essential, along with the ability to cooperate and collaborate with various levels of customers and employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this role include regular walking, handling or feeling objects, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and talking. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and navigate job sites effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may require working outdoors and exposure to various environmental conditions, including wet or humid situations, moving mechanical parts, and potential electrical hazards. The noise level may vary from moderate to loud.
