Maintenance Mechanic II Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs on various systems, including fans, pumps, motors, turbines, and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Painting, filter cleaning, and chemical treatment of HVAC systems
  • Monitor fire prevention systems and perform scheduled maintenance programs
  • Repair pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience
  • New York City Fire Department Certificates of Fitness for Storage, Handling, and Use of Commercial Cryogenic Systems G-79, Handling and Dispensing of Carbon Dioxide Containers G-82, Compressed Gases G-17/G71, Fireguard F-60, and Use of Flammable Gases G-60
Preferred Criteria:
  • Previous experience in a large healthcare environment
