We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical repairs on various systems, including fans, pumps, motors, turbines, and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Painting, filter cleaning, and chemical treatment of HVAC systems
  • Monitor fire prevention systems and perform repairs as needed
  • Repair pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls
  • Perform scheduled maintenance programs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience
  • New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Storage, Handling, and use of Commercial Cryogenic Systems G-79
  • New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Handling and Dispensing of Carbon Dioxide Containers G-82
  • New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness G-17/G71 for Compressed Gases
  • New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Fireguard F-60
  • New York City Fire Department Certificate of Fitness for Use of Flammable Gases G-60

  • Previous experience in a large healthcare environment
