We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join our faculty at the Assistant Professor level in the clinical track at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, WV.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient care in the in-patient and ambulatory care programs, including outreach.
- Teach medical students, Pediatric residents, and internal medicine ID fellows.
- Participate in clinical and translational research opportunities.
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted).
- Eligible to obtain a state medical license.
- Completed an accredited pediatric or pediatric/internal medicine residency program.
- American Board of Pediatrics certification.
- Subsequent Pediatric subspecialty certification expected.
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases division has three full-time faculty members and is responsible for Antibiotic Stewardship and Infection Prevention in WVU Medicine Children's Hospital.
About the HospitalWVU Medicine Children's Hospital is a 150-bed facility with a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff.
