Job Summary

Rural Healthcare Group (RHG) is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist during treatments
  • Coordinate tests and follow-up care, and record treatment in the medical record
  • Provide instructions and directions to patients regarding diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls and verifying patient information
  • Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED)
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or comparable healthcare training
  • MA Certification preferred or willing to obtain within one year
  • At least 1 year of work experience in the healthcare industry, preferably as an MA, Patient Care technician or similar
  • Certification in BLS (including CPR) or plans to achieve immediate certification
  • EMR experience or proficiency required (preferably eCW)
