About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic or E&I Technician to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company in Southport, NC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Perform and develop preventive and predictive maintenance for new and existing equipment, including centrifuges, centrifugal pumps, turbines, compressors, rotary vacuum filters, vacuum pumps, and other machinery.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and restore operation, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Assist fellow mechanics and technicians as required, functioning equally well as a team member or team lead, and collaborate with maintenance support and stock room personnel to ensure all parts transactions are properly documented.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Participate on plant reliability initiatives and teams to perform root cause analysis of failures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Communication and Documentation: Complete Work Order documentation as identified, and communicate equipment details effectively with other maintenance, process, and engineering personnel.
Requirements
  • Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Background: Minimum of 4 years' experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, with a high school diploma or equivalent technical degree desired.
  • Technical Skills: Basic competency in office applications such as MS Office, and ability to learn support systems such as Maximo with minimal individualized training.
  • Physical Demands: Manually lift up to 50 pounds intermittently, and perform some heavy lifting, sitting, or standing for long periods, working at heights, bending, and kneeling.
  • Shift Work and Overtime: Willingness to work shift work and overtime as required, and confirmed ability to work safely.
