Job Summary:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our farm producer. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong background in crop production and agricultural management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all areas of crop production, including planting, spraying, harvesting, and record keeping.
  • Lead work activities, such as equipment inspection, field inspections, and supply purchasing.
  • Enforce safety regulations and policies, and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Organize and prioritize work, delegate tasks, and oversee ongoing progress.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining proper flow and scheduling through the shop, preparing and readying equipment for the upcoming season.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving crop yields and reducing costs.
  • Monitor and report on crop progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols and emergency response plans.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in crop production and agricultural management.
  • Strong knowledge of modern row crop farming, including GPS technology.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field preferred.
