Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a skilled individual to join our agronomy team in Devils Lake, ND. As an Agriculture Application Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering and applying custom fertilizer and crop protection solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers and crop protection products under general supervision, utilizing high-clearance sprayers or floaters as needed.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing education on products and techniques.
  • Assist sales staff in ensuring accurate orders and meeting customer needs.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks, utilizing heavy or light-duty machinery as required.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers as needed.
  • Perform general labor responsibilities, including maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment inspection, and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, or application.
  • Meet minimum age requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Applicator's license, chemical application education, and experience.
  • Forklift certification and farming/agriculture background.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to operate machinery, such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobiles.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and load up to 75 lbs.
