Job Title: Human Rights Specialist

OCHA is seeking a highly skilled Human Rights Specialist to join our team in New York. As a key member of our Intergovernmental Affairs, Communications and Outreach Section, you will play a critical role in promoting and protecting human rights.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of human rights policies and programs.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to governments, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders on human rights issues.
  • Conduct research and analysis on human rights trends and developments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, civil society organizations, and the media.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in human rights, law, political science, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours: 80-100%

Job Type: Staff (Permanent and Fixed Term)
