Job Overview

Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join their team for a travel assignment in a medical facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, such as spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis, to assess lung function and diagnose respiratory disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience working in a medical facility, preferably in a respiratory therapy department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients, as well as stand for long periods of time.
