Our goal is to be the preferred medical provider, ensuring continuity of care while adapting to the needs of our expanding community. We will achieve this through collaboration, integrity, and mutual respect for our patients and each other.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a healthcare provider, which may involve casting, bracing, and administering injections.
  • Providing clinical triage and communication as per established protocols or provider instructions.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring sterilization and cleanliness of medical equipment.
  • Conducting basic laboratory tests on-site and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Performing phlebotomy, including the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens from patients of all ages.
  • Supporting back-office operations by managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service.
  • Delivering quality customer service and patient education based on individual assessments.
  • Documenting patient encounters and interventions accurately.
  • Communicating provider instructions to patients.
  • Assisting with non-direct patient care tasks such as autoclaving, stocking rooms, scanning records, and mailing.
  • Identifying opportunities for enhancing patient care.
  • Collaborating with Front Office Staff to manage patient details, scheduling, and referrals.
  • Assisting or leading in emergency situations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

We value individuals over resumes, yet we uphold high standards, which is why we require:

  • Completion of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program (EMT certification and experience will be considered).
  • Current licensure from the Idaho Board of Nursing for LPNs and RNs.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture.

  • Knowledge of vaccines, including annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, and TB.
