Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biologist to join our team at BioPhase, a leading innovator in life sciences. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong background in molecular biology and a passion for advancing scientific research.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting experiments and assays to support our molecular biology research efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve research objectives and contribute to the discovery, characterization, and optimization of novel molecular targets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform care and maintenance of cell cultures, including immortalized cell lines
  • Conduct transfection and characterization of cells, as well as the generation of stable cell lines
  • Execute a variety of cell-based assays, including proliferation/viability, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, HTRF, AlphaLISA, and xCELLigence RTCA
  • Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and good laboratory practices
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve research objectives
  • Present research findings internally and contribute to scientific discussions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology or a related field
  • 1-4 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industry setting
  • Previous experience working with primary cells is desirable
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as protein preparation and western blotting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with electronic laboratory notebook platforms is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
