Position: Manufacturing Technician B
Employment Type: Full-time; Contract
Location: Smithfield, PA
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; First Shift 7 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $25.75 to $31.00 per hour
Role Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician B to assist in our operations at the Smithfield facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute standard production assembly tasks on structural and mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and aircraft systems using manual techniques.
- Contribute to the enhancement of products and processes by engaging in the design, creation, and evaluation of innovative concepts and technologies.
- Travel to other facilities as necessary.
- Perform duties on-site at the designated location.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading, comprehending, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing precision measuring instruments.
- Over 1 year of experience in the fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems adhering to industry standards.
- More than 1 year of experience with machine shop processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with assembly and production methodologies, including manufacturing capabilities data for defining delivery configurations.
- Ability to distinguish between production processes and in-service procedures.
- Involvement in the assessment and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with production standards.
- Dedication to team objectives and the ability to harness collective expertise for common goals.
- Understanding of effective teamwork dynamics to achieve superior performance.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of the characteristics of metals and other common materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of shop processes, including FOD prevention, material handling, safety protocols, and ESD measures.
Typical Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation Details: $25.75 to $31.00 per hour
