Role Overview
In alignment with this growth, the Amazon Finance Operations (FinOps) team aims to provide seamless procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and payroll processes that support Amazon's ongoing global expansion. We are in search of a Customer-Centric, Results-Oriented Portfolio Manager to become a part of our global FinOps Program Management Office (PMO).
This is not an ordinary position; it offers the chance to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing environment. You will lead a portfolio of programs, projects, and key improvement initiatives to ensure high-value, quality delivery across the portfolio. This role is a hands-on opportunity that engages with every facet of Amazon's diverse global businesses.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be adept at shifting between macro and micro perspectives, as well as strategic and tactical activities. You should possess a natural analytical mindset, capable of diving deep into problems, products, and processes, and be able to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. A proven ability to learn swiftly, simplify complex scenarios into clear summaries, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Amazon's products, business models, financial systems architecture, and financial operations within a regulatory framework.
- Manage vital relationships with internal and external business and technology partners.
- Ensure transparency, alignment, and clear communication of strategic programs and their resource implications across the portfolio to key stakeholders.
- Create regular communication channels regarding portfolio progress and challenges, and facilitate prioritization discussions on necessary adjustments.
- Lead goal alignment with portfolio stakeholders and PMO leaders.
- Deliver standardized, scalable, automated solutions to ensure the PMO is executing the right projects, at the right time, with the right resources.
- Prioritize project requests within the portfolio and drive end-to-end process enhancements that foster growth and yield cost efficiencies.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
- Proficient in utilizing data and metrics to identify and drive improvements.
- Experience in owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and effectively communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in driving process improvements.
- Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by multiple factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
