Airswift is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team in a 1-year contract position. Located in Westwood, MA, this role will involve working closely with our major energy delivery clients to ensure compliance with all Federal, Local, and company-specific Health & Safety plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address findings, in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in weekly safety update calls with the Airswift Safety Team to discuss ongoing initiatives and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of Airswift's Contractor Safety Policy and its implementation.
- Knowledge of company operational practices and procedures, including construction site safety protocols.
- Expertise in local and federal regulations, including OSHA and DOT safety laws, and State Departments of Public Safety requirements as they pertain to electric utility industries.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and sound safety management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Distribution & Transmission operations and associated electrical, construction practices, and renewable energy practices is highly desirable.
- Experience in field project support and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with management and the skilled craft workforce.
- Strong project leadership skills and willingness to work independently or as part of a team.
