Lead a Team of Culinary Professionals

As a Lead Cook at Wegmans, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of culinary professionals and contribute to the success of our food market. With a focus on exceptional food and customer service, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day kitchen operations, overseeing food safety and quality assurance, and developing and implementing new menu items and recipes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of Prep and Line Cooks to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations
  • Oversee food safety and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes to drive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to plan and execute menu cycles and special events
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Prep or Line Cook
  • Experience leading a team and managing kitchen operations
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge and certification
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
