Crating Specialist

At US Bulletproofing, we are seeking a skilled Crating Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating woodworking equipment, crating and packaging finished goods products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate woodworking equipment, including saws, table saws, chop saws, nail guns, screw guns, and other power tools.
  • Crate and package finished goods products to ensure no freight damage.
  • Follow General Work Instructions and verbal instructions to crate and package products with good quality.
  • Read all documentation, including BOMs, Prints, Parts Lists, and Drawings.
  • Use measurements to determine the optimal size of crates and materials needed for shipment.
  • Maintain and update the Weights and Dimensions log via Teams/Excel.
  • Maintain inventory stock in the area by providing purchasing requests.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work environment by conducting 5S housekeeping activities at the end of the shift.
  • Attend monthly safety trainings, follow and support all company safety initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, and Assembly.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or education.
  • Power Tool experience with woodworking tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measurement and make basic calculations on crate sizing.
  • Ability to follow palletizing procedures and processes.
  • Must be able to operate a crane system safely.
  • Must become forklift and electric pallet jack certified within a few days of employment.
  • Prior Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow instructions and a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Must pass a background check as well as pre-employment physical and drug screen.
