Dental Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists during various treatment procedures, including preparing and arranging necessary tools and instruments.
- Provide hands-on support during treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
- Record patient findings, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) and take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking blood pressure and pulse, and ask about medical history.
- Develop and implement infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, suppliers, and colleagues, providing excellent customer service and support.
- High school diploma and associate's degree or postsecondary certification in dental assistance.
- 1 year of experience in dental assisting.
- Dental radiology certification (e.g., DANB CDA or minimum DANB).
