Linguistics Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified applied linguist to join our faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will have a strong research focus in second language learning, teacher training, and language program development, or a related field.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in linguistics and language learning
• Conduct research in applied linguistics and contribute to the department's research initiatives
• Develop and implement language programs and curricula
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to the department's graduate program

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Spanish, Linguistics, or a related field, with a strong record of research and teaching experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong commitment to open scholarship practices and who can contribute to the department's existing strengths in phonetics and phonology, bilingualism, and language contact.
