The successful candidate will possess a solid background in tax filing, adherence to regulations, and providing advisory services for a diverse clientele including individuals and businesses. This position demands a thorough knowledge of tax legislation, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Perform tax research and analysis to guarantee compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Offer tax planning and advisory services to clients, focusing on strategies to reduce tax obligations.
- Support clients during IRS audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.
- Maintain organized and precise tax records and documentation.
- Keep abreast of updates in tax legislation and relay relevant information to clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with fellow accountants and financial professionals to provide comprehensive service to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification is advantageous).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance within a CPA environment.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
