Job Summary

Estes Services is seeking a skilled Electrician Apprentice to join our team. As an Electrician Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to job sites in our service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicles, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly vehicle inspection forms.
  • Maintain proper truck stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Understand company pricing and generate customer invoices at the customers' homes, processing credit card payments electronically.
  • Document installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of system, and pictures as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and make recommendations for solutions to customers' electrical systems.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities.
  • Identify potential opportunities for new systems, service agreements, and additional services.
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date on all mechanical and electrical codes.
Requirements
  • Applicants must have at least a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather and climate conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, crawl, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, reach, or climb repeatedly or for long periods of time.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Exposure to changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 40 pounds unassisted and lift above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work in tight, poorly lit, and cramped conditions.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and occasionally work at height.
  • Must be able to execute all of the above functions and meet all of the above demands safely.
