Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer at Kaiser Permanente, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound evaluations of patients as part of the Cardiology team in an outpatient cardiac care setting. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound evaluations of patients with minimal supervision, obtaining high-quality images and Doppler signals to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assist cardiologists in various procedures, including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including logs and computerized documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Cardiology team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 24 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
  • Minimum two years of healthcare experience, preferably in ultrasound or cardiology.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric and echocardiography experience.
