Senior Geochemist

Eden GeoPower Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geochemist to lead our laboratory research and development efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geochemistry and experience in laboratory management.

The Senior Geochemist will be responsible for:

• Designing and executing laboratory investigations to optimize geochemical processes related to CO2 sequestration, geological H2, and mineral extraction;
• Investigating complex electro-chemical reactions under reservoir conditions;
• Developing and executing field-scale geochemical sampling programs;
• Collecting and analyzing geochemical samples from reactors, core-flood experiments, and field sites;
• Analyzing and interpreting large, multivariate geochemical datasets pertaining to geothermal and mining environments;
• Investigating the effects of mineral dissolution and precipitation on reservoir permeability and porosity at HPHT conditions;
• Preparing and presenting project updates, technical presentations, and reports for team members, clients, industry, and academic partners;
• Preparing governmental reports, funding proposals, research papers, presentations, and other documents.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in geochemistry/geoscience/geological engineering or a related field, a minimum of 4 years of geochemical laboratory experience, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Prior experience working with a scientific team and/or providing mentorship is also desirable.
