Senior Geochemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geochemist to join our team at Eden GeoPower Inc. The successful candidate will lead our geochemistry research and development efforts, working closely with our team of experts to advance our understanding of geochemical processes and their applications in various industries.

• Design and execute laboratory investigations to optimize geochemical processes related to CO2 sequestration, geological H2, and mineral extraction.
• Investigate complex electro-chemical reactions under reservoir conditions.
• Develop and execute field-scale geochemical sampling programs.
• Collect and analyze geochemical samples from reactors, core-flood experiments, and field sites.
• Prepare and present project updates, technical presentations, and reports for team members, clients, industry, and academic partners.

• PhD in geochemistry/geoscience/geological engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of geochemical laboratory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make technically sound recommendations with incomplete information.
• Prior preparation of successful proposals, publications, or patents.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

• 4+ years field experience in oil & gas, geothermal, hydrogen, CO2, and/or mining applications of geochemical data.
• Prior experience working with a scientific team and/or providing mentorship.
• Research experience in fluid-fluid, fluid-mineral, and fluid-rock interactions.
• Experience as a principal or co-principal investigator for external project funding.
