Flight Nurse

UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Nurse to join our team. As a Flight Nurse, you will provide direct patient care during air and ground critical care transport, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.

• Provide patient care during all phases of transport, from initial contact to care relinquishment at the accepting medical facility.
• Document patient assessment, evaluation, interventions, patient response to therapy, changes in condition, and procedures within established timeframes.
• Participate in pre- and post-transport briefings, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive success and improve patient outcomes.
• Provide safety and clinical education to referring facilities and EMS agencies as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Colorado or multi-state compact RN license at hire, with multi-state compact license within six months.
• Flight Nurse Certification (CFRN).
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) certification.
• Minimum five years of ICU or emergency department experience.

• Previous flight, CCT, or EMS experience.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC, or TNCC.
