Flight Nurse

UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Nurse to join our team. As a Flight Nurse, you will provide direct patient care during air and ground critical care transport, ensuring the highest level of care and safety for our patients.

• Provide patient care during all phases of transport, from initial contact to care relinquishment at the accepting medical facility.
• Document patient assessment, evaluation, interventions, patient response to therapy, changes in condition, and procedures within established timeframes.
• Participate in pre- and post-transport briefings, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive success and improve outcomes.
• Provide safety and clinical education to referring facilities and EMS agencies as needed.

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
• Colorado or multi-state compact RN license at hire, with multi-state compact license within six months
• Flight Nurse Certification (CFRN)
• Valid driver's license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Healthcare Provider; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP); and one of the following: Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), or TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)
• Minimum 5 years ICU, Emergency department (or combination of both) experience

• Previous Flight, CCT or EMS experience
• Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC or TNCC or ATCN)
