Position Summary
We are in search of a proficient IT eCommerce Engineer with extensive experience in deploying BigCommerce solutions for both B2B and B2C sectors. The selected candidate will be pivotal in the architecture and execution of eCommerce strategies, transforming business needs into actionable technical solutions while fostering collaboration among various stakeholders and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy innovative BigCommerce solutions tailored for B2B and B2C markets.
- Engage with cross-disciplinary teams, including designers and product managers, to collect requirements and convert them into technical documentation.
- Enhance and customize BigCommerce capabilities through API and app integrations, leveraging a composable architecture.
- Adopt best practices in eCommerce development to guarantee the scalability, performance, and security of solutions.
- Employ Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within budget constraints.
- Translate business objectives into system specifications, encompassing features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to devise cohesive project strategies, ensuring effective teamwork throughout development and deployment phases.
- Assess project goals and capability needs, including specifications for user interfaces and interactions with other systems.
- Provide ongoing development support for both internal and customer-facing BigCommerce environments, focusing on customized applications and platform administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in eCommerce development, particularly in B2B contexts.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with BigCommerce, covering platform management, theme customization, and API integrations.
- Strong grasp of eCommerce principles, including SEO, conversion optimization, and payment processing.
- Experience in integrating BigCommerce with other systems via APIs (REST/SOAP) and third-party tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices, emphasizing iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of composable architecture principles and platforms like MACH is advantageous.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, with insights into manufacturing processes and ERP integrations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to convert complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
