Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data-Driven Broadband and Digital Equity Specialist to join our team at The Global Excellence Consulting Group. This full-time position will be responsible for serving as the District's clearinghouse for all broadband and digital equity data-related issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to conduct independent research on complex issues involving policy, economic, financial or technical matters. Expert statistical analysis skills and experience with Business Intelligence and Statistical Modeling tools are also required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and leveraging publicly available broadband and digital equity data from the FCC, NTIA, and other authoritative sources. They will also manage all geospatial data collection and statistical analysis related to broadband and digital equity.

Additionally, the Data-Driven Broadband and Digital Equity Specialist will assist with the development of a statewide broadband plan, including goals and objectives to expand broadband coverage and capacity for all DC Residents. They will also participate in advisory and/or stakeholder workgroups to inform planning, mapping, and spending priorities for digital inclusion.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in geography, engineering, or another technical field, and six (6) years and above of professional experience in a progressively responsible nature.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in geography, engineering, or another technical field.
  • Six (6) years and above of professional experience in a progressively responsible nature.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to conduct independent research on complex issues involving policy, economic, financial or technical matters.
  • Expert statistical analysis skills and experience with Business Intelligence and Statistical Modeling tools.
