About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Architect, Application (Senior) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop e-government solutions, and be responsible for technical design and implementation of the architecture.
  • Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and backend applications.
  • Provide expertise on defining the role of broadband and wireless applications.
  • Define current State architecture blueprints.
  • Provide expertise with web servers, gateways, and application servers and content management systems.
  • Research new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
  • Compare various solutions and determine the most suitable.
  • Ensure that development efforts are well planned and in agreement with standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT application systems.
  • Must have led or been chief architect in a major IT applications implementation effort.
  • Must have a strong background in software engineering principles and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as business acumen.
  • Ability to compile and organize information and present findings to management.
  • Confident in decision making and the ability to explain technical processes or choices as needed.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and task management.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Outstanding problem solver.

Additional Requirements

  • At least six (6) years of experience in designing medium to large-scale sites and management of at least five Internet projects.

Location

The primary place of performance is HYBRID with 40% onsite requirement at the Baltimore City Headquarters or at facility location based on project need. One week per month onsite is required.
