Job Summary

The Clinical Care Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a clinic setting. Working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the specialist ensures that all patients receive exceptional treatment. This position involves coordinating patient wellness and chronic illness activities, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for the clinic's patient population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement educational materials for patients and support systems.
  • Supervise daily activities of medical assistants and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure timely orientation and competency completion for clinical support staff.
  • Provide feedback for annual performance evaluations of clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. RN required, BSN preferred.
  • Licensed by State of New Mexico as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience working as a nurse in a clinical setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This role requires full range of body motion, including the ability to lift patients and carry items up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking for extended periods of time is necessary. The specialist will work in a clinic environment with exposure to various conditions common in healthcare settings.
