JOB SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist plays a crucial role in the identification, assessment, and treatment of speech and language impairments in students, including those in preschool and those with disabilities. This professional collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide essential support to individuals facing communication challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License from the Ohio Department of Education
- License from the Ohio Speech Language Pathologist Board
- Experience in an educational environment is preferred
- Familiarity with sign language and augmentative communication tools is advantageous

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of Ohio's Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities
- Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with Ohio's Academic Content Standards
- Awareness of state rules and regulations regarding speech therapy services
- Knowledge of IDEA and the IEP process
- Proficiency in current assessment tools and testing programs
- Insight into contemporary educational challenges and best practices
- Ability to implement effective intervention strategies
- Knowledge of community resources available for students with disabilities
- Competence in classroom management techniques
- Proficient in using technology for productivity and communication, including Microsoft Office and Google Docs

- Capacity to analyze and interpret assessment results
