Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental and/or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's specific needs and achieve therapy goals.
  • Administer therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development, function, and independence.
  • Educate patients/parents/caregivers on treatment goals and therapy plan, and instruct on therapeutic activities to follow at home.
  • Document patients' evaluation results, objective status, progress towards goals, treatment plan, and recommendations in compliance with documentation requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Ohio License in Speech Pathology.
  • Certification in Speech Pathology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Previous pediatric experience desirable.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, providing age-appropriate care and services to patients from birth to 21 years, and select adult patients. This role is in outpatient.

This is a contingent/PRN/on-call role.

The Speech Language Pathologist will be required to stand/walk constantly, independently lift/carry up to 15 pounds frequently, and independently lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
