Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as a liaison between our agency, hospitals, healthcare providers, and the non-medical community to promote our services and build strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Outreach: Actively engage with referral sources, including hospitals, healthcare providers, and non-medical organizations, to educate them about our services and benefits.
- Relationship Building: Collaborate with our Clinical and Operational teams to understand customer needs and processes, and provide education and support to referral sources.
- Referral Management: Receive referrals from various sources and facilitate their seamless transfer to our Patient Operations department for processing and admission.
- Scheduling and Documentation: Maintain a well-planned schedule and accurate, up-to-date documentation of communication and contact with referral sources in all required reporting platforms.
- Coordination and Delivery: Assist physicians, hospital discharge planners, and patient care staff in coordinating professional and ancillary home care services, and deliver orders to physician offices as needed.
- Industry Representation: Identify and participate in industry conferences and professional groups to represent our agency and enhance our market presence.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a cooperative working relationship with our patient care staff and support them in providing quality patient care.
- Adherence to Regulations: Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, physicians, and co-workers, and refrain from disclosing any confidential information to unauthorized individuals or entities.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year business development experience in healthcare or other relevant business development experience
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work creatively, independently, and be self-motivated
- Current and valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance
- Must live in the Middle Tennessee area to be considered
