KPMG is actively seeking a Senior Manager to enhance our Mergers & Acquisitions team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive advice to clients on a wide range of corporate and partnership tax services, including strategic planning, research, and various mergers and acquisitions initiatives.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering thorough due diligence and tax structuring services, effectively communicating insights and opportunities to clients.
- Manage intricate partnership transactions, including acquisitions, sales, mergers, and restructurings from both buy-side and sell-side perspectives.
- Support transactions involving public offerings, such as IPOs and de-SPACs, as well as take-private deals involving companies structured as Umbrella Partnership C-Corporations.
- Assist in the review and correction of historical partnership allocations, basis adjustments, and capital accounts.
- Advise clients on transactions in the renewable energy sector, including tax equity partnerships and tax credit sales, in accordance with current legislation.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions within a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
- A Bachelor's degree in taxation or a Master's in taxation (MST) from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a CPA, EA, or JD/LLM license, along with other credentials recognized by KPMG; candidates must obtain at least one approved designation within one year of hire if not already possessed.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate and partnership tax issues across various sectors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client service teams effectively.
- A strong interest in mentoring and developing junior team members, along with excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
