Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a vital part of our collaborative rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will possess formal education and hands-on experience in delivering feeding services. The SLP will work closely with patients and their families to ensure the safe and effective provision of care within their professional scope. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and outcome measurement.

  • Full-time equivalent (FTE) role, authorized for up to 80 hours per pay period.
  • Position entails providing services across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist will:

  • Engage with patients and families: Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations, gathering relevant data and performing examinations to establish treatment diagnoses.
  • Develop personalized care plans: Collaborate with patients and families to create individualized treatment strategies, analyzing data to identify needs and potential risks.
  • Implement skilled interventions: Carry out the treatment plan, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress and response.
  • Maintain documentation: Utilize appropriate medical terminology and adhere to professional standards for timely documentation and billing.
  • Uphold professional standards: Manage tasks effectively, ensuring compliance with licensure requirements and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate adaptability: Provide care across multiple settings and manage changes throughout the day, ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a valid Speech Language Pathology license in Minnesota.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred:

  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
