Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Civil or Environmental Engineer with solid waste/landfill experience to join our Southeast Engineering and Remediation team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, 1-4 years of relevant solid waste/landfill experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities- Design and permitting of landfills, transfer stations, convenience centers, recycling facilities, and composting operations
- Site planning, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, drainage design, grading plans
- Landfill design, permitting, and operations
- Stormwater design, wetland permitting, and leachate system management
- Landfill gas collection and control system design, including active gas systems
- Facility siting, design, and construction management for landfills, transfer stations, convenience centers, materials recovery facilities, and composting facilities
- Landfill capacity analysis, facility/landfill financial assurance, and odor assessment and mitigation
- Construction management and quality assurance, design of landfill-based renewable energy systems, and waste-to-energy technologies
- EIT preferred or ability to obtain in six months
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university
- 1-4 years of landfill design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects at the same time
- Valid driver's license
