Financial Leadership Manager

Citibank seeks a skilled Branch Sales leader to drive growth and customer loyalty in Palo Alto, California. As a key member of our Consumer Sales team, this role will lead a team of employees, grow sales, build relationships with clients, and develop business strategies to meet company priorities.
Job Overview:
- This position is responsible for developing a sales plan, driving individual production goals, and building referral networks and relationships with internal partners and external contacts.
- The ideal candidate will create an environment that fosters activity-based coaching and performance development, implementing coaching plans to develop employees' skills and achieve personal/branch goals.
- The selected candidate will develop and execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies aligned with the Retail Bank's priorities, executing business plans to achieve expected goals in all business categories.
- This role supports portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase client acquisition, ensuring clients receive optimal service while monitoring operational controls.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with branch partners to achieve goals, build customer relationships, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Leveraging workforce planning tools, the ideal candidate will optimize staffing in branches, set expectations for branch staff, and foster an environment where team members work together to achieve business goals.
- This role integrates segment partners, works with Assistant Managers, and collaborates with Division Operations to drive sales and outbound activities, representing Citibank and building partnerships in the community.
- The selected candidate will conduct daily proof processes to ensure adherence to operational requirements, investigate controllable losses among branch staff, provide coaching, and manage performance on decisions used.
- This position leads the hiring process and coordinates performance management, compensation, communication, and employee evaluation for branch staff.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and policy formulation, as well as short-term planning and resource allocation.
- This role requires the ability to assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the company's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience is required.
- Prior experience in banking or the financial industry is preferred.
- Sales management experience is also desirable.
- The ideal candidate must be registered or willing to register as a mortgage loan originator with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry.
- The successful candidate will consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills and analytical abilities.
- A Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience is mandatory, with a Master's degree being preferred.
