As a Behavior Technician at Centria Autism, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with autism.
In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about helping children with autism reach their full potential.
We provide comprehensive training to ensure you are equipped and empowered to help each child, even if you don't currently have experience.
Children can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, so this role requires a strong sense of resilience and adaptability.
As a Behavior Technician, you will be physically active throughout the day, engaging in activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
At the end of each day, you will go home knowing that you have made a positive impact on the life of a child and their family.
Key Responsibilities- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Provide physical support and assistance to children as needed
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and implement behavior intervention plans
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to lift and carry children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds
