Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular and Echo Technologist to join our team at the Medical University of South Carolina. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various vascular and echo procedures, including validating medical necessity, acquiring images, and communicating critical test results to ordering physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vascular and echo procedures, including validating medical necessity and acquiring images
  • Communicate critical test results to ordering physicians
  • Complete worksheets and export images for interpreting physicians
  • Dictate or electronically report results for ordering and interpreting physicians
  • Clean equipment and treatment rooms for next patients
  • Keep registry current by completing continuing education requirements and submitting dues annually

Requirements

  • ARRT and ARDMS or CCI Registry or completion of accredited Vascular and Echo program
  • Prior experience as a Vascular and Echo Technologist in a clinical setting is strongly desired
  • ARRT and Echo-RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) Vascular-RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI)
  • BLS Certification is required

Working Conditions

  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking
  • Ability to work indoors and in temperature extremes
  • Ability to work from elevated areas and in confined/cramped spaces
