About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at PAGNY. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine ultrasound and vascular ultrasound procedures on patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms in a state of orderliness, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Introduce yourself to patients, confirm identification, and explain procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Escort or transport patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Present images to supervisors or attending physicians for review before discharging patients.
  • Obtain additional images as necessary, ensuring all studies are tracked and images are pushed to PACS.
  • Fill gel bottles when empty and ensure probes are sent to Central Sterile for sterilization after use.
  • Attend in-service and other section meetings as required, staying up-to-date on the latest imaging techniques and technologies.
  • Assist in the orientation of new hires, training of ultrasound students, and training/supervision of students rotating from the School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Perform portable ultrasound exams on a rotating basis, adapting to changing patient needs.
  • Rotate through all tours, including weekends, to ensure adequate coverage and patient care.
  • Practice infection control, washing hands and sanitizing equipment between patients.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or service engineers in a timely manner, monitoring Preventative Maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
  • Report accidents/incidents to immediate supervisors or appropriate personnel.
  • Complete annual physical examinations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other job-related functions as necessary or directed, contributing to the organization's mission and values.
Requirements
  • ARDMS certification in Ultrasonography required.
  • Proven clinical competency in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Neonatal, and Vascular Ultrasound.
  • Responsible for maintaining 30 CME credits within a 3-year rolling period for recertification annually.
  • Attend annual In-service and Continuing Education training.
