Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Fairfax Medical Center. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent and explain procedures to ease anxiety.
  • Identify errors and take immediate action for corrections.
  • Assist physicians in performing TEE, Fetal Echoes, and AV optimization studies.

Requirements

  • ARRT, ARDMS, RDMS, or RVT certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or registry eligibility with certification within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.
  • One year of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of Specialized Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
