Automotive Valet Specialist

The Valet Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Vehicle Logistics Coordinator by managing the movement of both New and Pre-Owned vehicles within the Mercedes-Benz Group operations.
Responsibilities for New Vehicles
- Facilitate vehicle shipments to and from the dealership and designated delivery areas according to established schedules.
- Serve as a backup for the Central Dispatch Logistics Supervisor.
- Assist in various activities including product presentations, off-site deliveries, lease returns, and trades to the Prep Center, as well as coordinating with truckers for wholesale car dispositions.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly staged and displayed in showrooms.
Responsibilities for Pre-Owned Vehicles
- Collaborate with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager to identify vehicles not being purchased and coordinate their return to the Prep Center.
- Stage and display all pre-owned vehicles effectively in the showroom.
- Assess the condition of lease returns and report findings to the Pre-Owned department.
- Utilize a checklist to verify all G status vehicles and provide documentation to the Pre-Owned Service Advisor.
- Mark all vehicles being transported with the date on the windshield using a paint marker.
- Print and place Carfax reports in the glove compartments of the respective vehicles.
- Adhere to Key System protocols as per Keyper guidelines and internal requirements.
- Install necessary inspection and warranty stickers, as well as model year indicators on windshields.
- Apply window stickers, Monroney labels, and operation manuals as required.
- Ensure that super tags are affixed to all vehicles.
- Verify that vehicles returned from the Prep Center are detailed, tagged, and prepared for delivery.
- Re-photograph vehicles if necessary to maintain accurate records.
- Refuel all vehicles as part of the preparation process.
- Conduct final quality checks and notify the Pre-Owned Sales Manager to update vehicle statuses in the system.
- Position all sold vehicles in the appropriate delivery areas.
- Must be able to commute into and out of the metropolitan area regularly.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is between $18 and $19.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a dealership environment.
