Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Spencer Ogden. As a key member of our Maintenance & Reliability Group, you will play a critical role in supporting plant operation and reliability improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for instrumentation and electrical issues and projects in the field
  • Manage preventative maintenance and inspection deferrals, ensuring timely completion and adherence to industry standards
  • Develop and optimize maintenance procedures, ensuring equipment files, spare parts, and Bill of Materials are up-to-date and accurately documented
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose defects, and implement corrective actions
  • Lead maintenance capital projects, utilizing Clarity and Braskem's Capital Project Work Process to minimize life cycle costs and maximize asset availability
  • Conduct root cause inquiries, analyze data, and present findings to management for review and approval
Requirements
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC)
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and measurement technology, low and high voltage power distribution, and controls
  • Experience with safety instrumented systems, analyzers, and sample systems
  • Reliability Engineering concepts and data scrutiny techniques
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries
  • RCA experience with TapRoot or ProAct
  • Proficiency in SAP and Maximo applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and mentoring
