Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, NNP Acute Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including medication management, wound care, and other interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in daily rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in neonatal care.
Requirements:
  • Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - NNP.
  • Current specialty certification as required by department.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Masters in Nursing as NP or completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.
