Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Teriyaki Madness is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operations, drive menu innovation, and elevate our training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of all corporate-owned Teriyaki Madness locations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the franchise support team to ensure alignment between corporate and franchise operations.
Menu Ideation and Development:
  • Lead the ideation, development, and testing of new menu items that align with the Teriyaki Madness brand and customer preferences.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure the quality, consistency, and appeal of all menu offerings.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging food trends and customer demands, using insights to drive menu innovation.
  • Manage the lifecycle of menu items, including product launches, seasonal offerings, and product retirements.
Training and Development:
  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for corporate and franchise employees, focusing on operational excellence, customer service, and food safety.
  • Develop leadership development initiatives to identify, train, and retain top talent within the organization.
  • Ensure training programs are regularly updated to reflect changes in operations, menu offerings, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the creation of training materials, including manuals, videos, and e-learning modules, to support consistent training delivery.
Strategic Leadership:
  • Work closely with the President and other executive leaders to shape the strategic direction of Teriyaki Madness, contributing to overall business growth and success.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that aligns with the company's mission and values.
  • Represent Teriyaki Madness at industry events, conferences, and in communications with stakeholders, partners, and franchisees.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful menu development and innovation in the fast-casual or quick-service restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and customer service excellence.
  • Experience in developing and implementing training programs at a multi-unit level.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
