About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at St. Edmond's Home for Children on a part-time basis, working every Monday from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

Job Summary

As a Pediatric Nurse at St. Edmond's Home for Children, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and executing individualized care plans, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with our therapy team to ensure seamless integration of nursing and therapeutic interventions.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to direct care staff, ensuring optimal care delivery and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Health Planning (IHP) conferences and periodic reviews to ensure continuity of care.
  • Evaluate prospective new admissions from a nursing perspective, working closely with our Director of Nursing.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • 1-3 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with a preference for candidates with experience working with physically disabled and developmentally disabled children.
  • Certification in CPR prior to working independently with our residents.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands. You will also be responsible for lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, and moving residents, equipment, supplies, and potentially heavy loads with assistance.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
