Purpose of Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Technician to join our team at Avon Protection. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing manufacturing and production processes using Lean Manufacturing and other improvement concepts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean principles, problem-solving techniques, and a passion for continuous improvement. This role requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify root causes of issues and develop solutions using lean principles.
  • Implement process changes and monitor results to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis, 5S, and visual management to improve processes.
  • Train and coach employees on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects.
  • Maintain and update process documentation and standard work instructions.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with established processes and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong work ethic, action-oriented, with a track record for delivering to plan.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and prioritize tasks.
