Physical Therapist Assistant

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation therapy procedures to patients under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients and caregivers in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement treatment programs to restore and return maximal function to patients.
- Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify goals and treatment methods as needed to meet changing patient needs.
- Document patient treatment in compliance with department standards, medical-legal, and reimbursement procedures.
- Train and educate other rehabilitation staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and rehabilitation services.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives, program development, and marketing activities.
- Stay up-to-date with continuing education in-services, competencies, and new concepts of patient care and additional skills with various population groups.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
- LIC-Physical Therapist Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan (upon hire).
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (90 days required) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross (90 days required).
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan (Home Care Business Lines upon hire).
- Pallet to Waist (6" from floor) > 5 lbs: Occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Waist to Waist > 5 lbs: Occasionally up to 50 lbs.
