We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging procedures and operate x-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department, explaining procedures and post-procedure orders to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
- Prioritize workflow based on patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure of patients.
- Provide a supportive atmosphere to gain patient cooperation and confidence.
- Utilize patient satisfaction and practice performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in the planning and improvement process.
- High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
- 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
- ARRT or registry eligible required; registry eligible technologist must successfully complete the ARRT certification exam in Radiology within 90 days of hire.
- Applicable state licensure as required.
